Our Sisters' Graduation

Last weekend both of our sisters graduated from Texas A&M University...Whoop!  Since we were in College Station all weekend, Parker got to wear some of his Aggie outfits finally.  This was also his first time on the A&M campus...Daddy thought it was so momentous :)

Friday we had a party for Kimberly at her house.  Saturday everyone came to the Reed arena parking lot for a picnic lunch and then we headed in for the 2 pm graduation.  I made Parker an outfit for Saturday...take a look at the pics :)  Oh how we all love three hour graduations, thank goodness they both graduated at the same time.  Parker slept the full three hours which was great.  And Aubrey and Luke kept busy with toys and snacks and such.

Both Kimberly and Rebecca did it!!!  They walked across the stage, without tripping, and got their official diplomas...YEAH!!!!!  So proud of both of them and all of their accomplishments.  And now both of our parents are free from paying anymore college tuition....yeah to them!!!

We all celebrated with dinner at La Bodega and then we headed to Northgate to meet up with the Botsfords, Stephens, and a few more college buddies.  They decided to give Parker the nickname of Buttons, after Benjamin Button, since he was already hitting up the bar scene at 2.5 months.

Sunday Patrick took his final insurance test and passed...whewww.  We spent the afternoon visiting with my family and then Kari, Skinny, and Trina stopped by to see Parker.  Only a few more weeks until the crazy move!

Too many pics to only choose a few...so I have another Smilebox for you :)

First Mother's Day and Parker's Baptism

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day! First off Parker served me breakfast in bed, waffles, an omelet, and fresh fruit!  Parker also got me a beautiful and special necklace that I love.  He did a great job picking it out :)  However, seeing his sweet smile and sparkle in his eyes was the best present of all.
Mother's Day was also the day we got to celebrate Parker's Baptism, which made the day that much more special.  Both of our families came in for the celebration, so I got to spend the day with my mom and mother-in-law and my sister-in-law...lots of moms.  Christopher and Rebecca are Parker's godparents and Patrick and I look forward to their influence and guidance with raising Parker.  Parker wore my mom's baptismal gown that was made by her Nanny.  It was also the baptismal gown Christopher and I wore for our baptisms. It was very special and I loved the old delicate look to it. You definitely can't find one of those at the mall.

My mom is an amazing woman!  She is the rock that holds our family together through good and bad times.  She is a very selfless woman and will do anything she can to help out her kiddos...that would be me :)  Somehow she snaps her fingers and the job or task is done...not sure how she does it.  You name it and she can do it...from sewing, to cooking, to babysitting, and most importantly loving.  I hope I can fill at least half of her shoes someday.  I've got a ways to go, but I'm working on it.  I love you Mom!

2 months old!

Parker,
So I am a few weeks late on this post....ekks...I'm slacking!  Let's see if I can remember what you've accomplished this month.  This month was definitely a little more difficult than the first one.  You've started to wake up a little more and your vocals are getting stronger :)  During your 6th and 7th week you were very fussy and we tried all different positions, dances, and walks to try and soothe you...everything but hang you by the toes...jk.  Then when your 8th week rolled around you were a different baby...you still cried but we were able to console you and you then started to smile which made everything worth it!  You are still sleeping half the night in your bassinet and the rest of the night in between us.  You typically only wake once throughout the night around 4 or 5 am, feed and then fall right back to sleep...I think I may fall back asleep before you sometimes :) You love the Baby Bjorn!!  Which is great for Momma and Daddy.  You usually fall asleep in it very quickly and then Momma can have two hands to get things done!  Your car seat has stickers this month...you don't like it unless you are really sleepy.  The grand idea to put your baby in their car seat to get them to fall asleep, doesn't work for you.  You still have all the hair you were born with and are still wearing newborn clothes, but not for long.

You had your first Easter, first Aggie Muster, and your fourth cousin was born...Thomas.

At your 2 month (May 9th) check up your stats were:
Weight: 10 lbs 11.5 oz  (25%)
Height:  24 inches (90%)
Head Circumference: 15 3/4 (50%)

We fall in love with you more and more every day you are with us.  God has truly blessed us with a handsome child :)  We love you, Momma
