Weekend in Galveston

This past weekend we headed to Galveston for Schneider's wedding.  We woke up early on Saturday and headed straight to the beach.  Luckily the sun came out for us by lunch time and it ended up being a perfect day.  I was a little nervous that Parker might be afraid of the waves but he loved it!  He definitely got into digging in the sand and using his shovel to fill his bucket.  Hopefully we all got a little color...we were looking a little "Minnesota" pasty.

Parker loves getting crazy and running around hotel rooms.

Silly boy!

Parker attended his first wedding!  He was a trooper and lasted until 10:30.  Wedding was great and as always it was great seeing and catching up with good ole college buddies.

Dancing with Daddy

Love  Kami and Keaton!

We had such a fun time at the beach on Saturday, we headed back there on Sunday for just a short while.  Can't wait until July 4th...several days of the beach!!!

Twactor

Parker's favorite new word is now "Twactor".  It was twuck for the past week and everything with four wheels was a twuck, but we have been trying to distinguish the difference between cars, trucks, and tractors.  Sooooo, now that he has learned tractor...everything is a twactor :)
More new words are hat and toes!

14 Months!

Parker,
Happy 14 months!!!  So I didn't write a 13 month post because I assumed I was going to stop writing you letters after a year, but I miss it :)  And you have been growing and changing so much over the past 2 months, I would hate to not document all of those!

Right now you are in mostly 12 months clothes...although you can fit in some 18 month shirts.  You are still in size 3 diapers and size 4 shoe.

You still like to take 2 naps a day...one usually around 10:30/11 and the second around 3:30/4.  You generally go to bed around 8:30/9 and then wake anytime between 6:30 and 8:30-ish.  You have really got into a great nap/bedtime routine and you are able to fall asleep all by yourself.   You go into your room, pick out a book and bring it to Momma or Dadda, hand it to us and sit in our lap, and then you listen so intently as we read it to you.  You loooooveee books right now and you would probably read every book on your shelf if Momma didn't get tired of reading them to you.  Your favorites are Goodnight moon (I have that one memorized :) and the Aggie counting book because it has lots of balls in it.  When we lay you in bed you give your brown monkey and green frog a kiss and as we say a prayer or sing you a song...by then you are usually out!

Talking...you are always babbling something!  You can now say Momma, Dadda, ball, uh-oh, occasionally no, and occasionally something that sounds like truck.  However your favorite is "ball" and will walk around the house and point to all of the balls in the house and say "ball, ball, ball, ball".  It is pretty cute I must say :)  You also like combining Momma and Dadda and you say "Ma-da"...I guess you want to make sure one of us answers...smart boy.

Food...you are still a picky eater.  Veggies are still a struggle but we will continue to work on them :)  You still continue to love love love fruit!  Milk...you are still a titty boy haha.  You have been nursing only two times a day for the past two months and this week I finally cut you back to one.  Now you only nurse in the morning when you wake...mainly because you will usually fall back asleep and mommy gets an extra hour of sleep!  During the day you drink almond milk but you never just guzzle it down.  Otherwise you just drink water...no juice.

You love to be outside. You love to push your red car everywhere.  You love to drive your tractors around and make tractor noises.  You still love the ole' popper.  You love to pull your wagon around.  You love a pile of pillows and will run and jump on them and then giggle into the pillows :)  You love to play chase, dig in the dirt, Sully, and you are definitely loving your Daddy more and more these days.

You are still a big cuddle bug...it is my favorite when you run to me, give me a big hug, and rest your head on my shoulder...doesn't get much better than that!

You have 6 teeth almost all the way out and 4 new ones on the way.

I think that is all for now...I will probably be adding to this letter as I think of things or see you do things I forgot about.  I hope you know your Daddy and I love you so so much and pray for you to become a Godly man someday...but not too soon :)

Love, Mommy
