Glorious day...

The past two days I have actually been able to sit on our porch and enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee and a wonderful "Texas" crisp breeze.  And my child finally gets to play outside and see what grass is. This is literally the first time since we moved in I have been able to do this without getting devoured by mosquitoes.  I hate those darn things more than you know!!!  I would pack up this whole house once again and move just to get away from them.  Bring on the fall, cooler weather, and NO mosquitoes!  I can tolerate the heat, but not one more mosquito bite :)

This was Labor Day after working out in the yard before my whole leg was on fire...
The picture doesn't do it justice.

our little aggie family

We went to a Montgomery County Aggie Club picnic on Lake Conroe recently. And since the view was so nice we thought we should take advantage and try to get a decent family pic.  We did so, so :)

Patrick got to relive his Yell Leader days.

Thanks and gig 'em.

Never goes any where without his tractor!

Parties Galore!

Couple weekends ago we had the weekend of all parties.  We managed to make it to three all on Saturday and didn't get home until 11 pm.  Parker was exhausted!!  We first celebrated our niece Aubrey's 4th birthday...wow, time has flown.  It was an all girls, glitz and glitter, pink or else, princess party.  It turned out super cute...all the girls dressed in princess outfits and got their nails done and had a fashion show.

We then headed to the James' Baby Shower.  We got to visit with a lot of friends we hadn't see in awhile which was awesome.  Then finally we headed to the Fulton's Bday Party.  We hit the tail end of the party but still got to visit with my dad's dental buddies.

Sand and Sun Time

Both of our family's take beach vacations in the summer and this year they backed up to each other...soooo we had a nice loooong time relaxing, soaking in the much missed rays (last year we had to miss our coast trip since we were up north), and lots of visiting with the fam.

We headed to Rockport for Patrick's family vacay first.  We stay in a cute little beach house along a channel.  It rained quite a bit while we were there but it gave us a great excuse to be 100% lazy!  It was actually very peaceful listening to the rain fall.  Parker had a fun time playing with Thomas and Rebecca's new kitten Anne.    I am surprised that cat survived the weekend with those two!!  We spent one day at the beach, did a little fishing, ate at the Boiling Pot, and had a blast.

We spent one night in Corpus with just our little family before heading to the Island House for the annual Freytag 4th vacay.  We all went to Port A to see the firework show...Nana made picnic fajitas and the the kids decorated cookies.  We had six full days of sunshine.  Parker loved the beach and the pool!  He wasn't afraid at all and he kept eating the sand, weirdo :)

Too many pics so I made a smilebox...

Daddy's Day 2012

Sunday was Father's Day and it was a pretty chill day at our house.  We went to mass, did some yard work and went to the pool.  I had plans to grill fajitas for dinner that night but instead Patrick chose to eat at Jack in the Box...his day :)

I couldn't ask for anyone better to be the father of our little Parker.  It makes my heart melt to see those two together giggling and cuddling.

Blueberry Pickin'

Parker and I went to pick blueberries for Nana the other day at the Moorehead Blueberry Farm.  There were sooooo many to pick.  I think I could have stayed on one tree and picked a whole bucket, but of course I had to chase Parker through the trees.  I was so afraid I was going to lose him.  He had a blast picking the blueberries off the trees and eating them all...he was definitely no help with filling up the bucket.  We picked for 2 straight hours and got 7 pounds of berries!!!  It was hot, hard work. But they sure were
tasty :)

Missed my Minnesota girls...Melissa, Ansley, and Jen :(   Brought back some good memories of strawberry pickin' in MN!
Yum!

Pickin' and Eatin'
